The song I will talk about today is a special one called Eternal Life by Jeff Buckley. It has a very interesting backstory, as it was inspired by Buckley’s dissatisfaction with the violent world. In particular, these highlighted lyrics really fascinate me. A main theme of my high school life was finding my own path, and these lyrics emphasize that taking the wrong path will devastate you. In the bridge portion, this is the part that I really love. Buckley, after questioning violence in the world, now questions moral values such as love, happiness, life, and peace.
